Social value toolkit

We want to make sure that our supply chain contributes as much as possible to the overall wellbeing of our residents. As such we include social value as part of our procurement process.

In 2015 we increased how important social value is in our procurement considerations from 10% to 20%. This means that all companies and organisations bidding for our contracts have to give social value serious consideration when putting tenders together.

Our social value toolkit outlines what we want to achieve for Manchester’s residents and neighbourhoods through social value. It provides guidance, information and contact details to support suppliers when considering social value when putting tenders together.
