What will change
Feedback in the consultation earlier this year showed that people were concerned about the safety of pedestrians and cyclists in the Withy Grove area. Making Withy Grove one-way will improve traffic flow and reduce the need for pedestrians to congregate outside The Printworks. The space gained will also be used as a hackney carriage taxi rank in this busy leisure-oriented area of the city. By reducing traffic volume overall, the change will support walking and cycling in the city, and help to create a safe route through the city centre for cyclists.
