Benefits and support Crisis and Resilience Fund (Help with emergency living costs)

If you’ve had an unexpected event that's caused money problems and you cannot afford basic living costs, you may be able to get help.

The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) provides short-term emergency support.

It is funded by the UK Government and delivered by Manchester City Council.

Who this support is for

You may be able to get help if you:

  • live in Manchester; and
  • are facing a financial crisis or emergency; and
  • cannot afford essential living costs.

This fund is for people who have no other way to pay for essentials.

You must:

  • be on a low income
  • have had a sudden money problem, such as an unexpected cost or loss of income
  • be at risk of not being able to afford essentials, like food and electricity.
