Neighbourhood Services
- Budget this year: £140.254million (net).
- £8.804 million savings options from Neighbourhood budgets over 3 years.
How we spend this budget
Our Neighbourhood Service Directorate has a wide range of services to improve the lives of Manchester residents and showcase the city to millions of visitors.
We use these budgets to work together with local people to make their city a better place to live, work and play. They fund our zero-carbon ambition with green growth, low-carbon energy, retrofitting, green spaces and managing climate change.
They help keep our neighbourhoods clean with efficient recycling, keep our streets safe and secure, fund parks, libraries and galleries, leisure and events – involving partners and the voluntary sector.
These budgets also help prevent and tackle homelessness and run our housing service, maintaining our roads and public spaces.
