How we spend this budget
This budget helps drive economic growth to benefit everyone through securing new commercial and residential development, attracting inward investment, generating employment, connecting residents to those opportunities, and supporting businesses and communities to thrive.
As well as city centre growth, it supports major regeneration in North Manchester and Eastern Gateway. It develops our housing strategy and runs Planning, Building Control and Licensing, and looks after the Council’s land and buildings.
This budget also funds Manchester Adult Education Service and our Work and Skills services, our digital strategy and parts of our highways and parking services.
