Other changes you need to tell us about
Tell us about changes straight away or you may end up paying the wrong amount of Council Tax. Contact us if:
- someone in your household dies.
- someone moves out and this means that you now live alone and are over 18. You may be entitled to a single person discount.
- you currently receive a single person discount and another adult moves into your property. You need to ask us to cancel your single person discount
- you go into care or into hospital for a long period. Or are away from home providing care for someone else
Use the 'Report a change in your circumstances' button if:

- you change your name due to marriage or divorce or the name on your account is incorrect.
- your children leave school.
- you currently get a single person discount and someone under the age of 25 moves in with you who has previously been in local authority or foster care.
