St Werburgh's tram stop lighting

Update

We have been working with partners (including Amey, Railway Paths, Sustrans, Metrolink and landowners) to look at how lighting on the pedestrian route from St Werburghs tram stop to Chorlton High School could be improved, after this was raised as a priority by Councillors and residents.

The new lighting in the area from St Werburghs tram stop to Chorlton High School has now been installed to improve safety. The lighting system has been designed using energy efficient LEDs to provide an appropriate level of light for all users of the path, while minimising the impact on wildlife and flora.

This work sits alongside other improvements on the Fallowfield Loop including resurfacing and making entry points more accessible.
