Support with applying for free voter ID
If you don’t already have an accepted form of photo ID, or you’re not sure whether your photo ID still looks like you, you can apply for a free voter ID document, known as a Voter Authority Certificate.
If you need help and support to apply online, or you don’t have access to a digital device to get online, we can help.
You can come to the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall Extension on weekdays between 10.30am and 3.30pm to get help with taking and uploading a photograph.
Local libraries are holding support sessions where staff will be on hand with mobile devices to walk you through the applications process and help you take and upload a photograph. Please see below a list of libraries and the days and times these sessions are taking place.
