Bees

Due to the vital role of bees in the pollination of crops and the serious decline in the UK’s bee population, we do not treat them as a pest. The Pest Control Service will now be offering a Honey Bee only, swarm collection and relocation service under certain circumstances.  First check to see if you have a Honey Bee swarm.

Please phone the Council’s Pest Control call centre on 0161 234 4928 for further information regarding the possible collection of the swarm. 

If you’d like guidance about keeping bees, or general information, you should contact the British Bee Keepers Association (BBKA).
