The next phase of works on Matthews Lane, Slade Lane and Moseley Road junction, and the A6 crossing (next to Arcadia Library) are scheduled to commence late August 2024.
Matthews Lane and the junction of Slade Lane and Moseley Road are expected to be completed by late 2024.
The A6 Arcadia crossing is expected to be completed by early 2025 subject to any weather conditions.
Traffic management will be in place while the works take place, including temporary traffic lights and signed road diversions. Residents and businesses who live beside the areas where works will be happening will receive local communication about when the works will start, on-site construction information, and how long they the works will last with any diversion plans.
Broom Lane
The remaining works between Cronshaw Road and Stockport Road are currently under review and further updates will be provided in due course.
A6 Sparrow Crossing
The Traffic Regulation Order consultation is now closed, and we are currently reviewing all the comments and feedback. Further updates about this crossing will be provided later in the year.
