Policy and influence
Our cross-cutting themes are policy and influence, finance and investment, and communications. They support the delivery of the core themes in the climate change action plan.
This theme relates to the policies and strategies we create. And our influence in the city.
The climate change action plan sets out how we’ll influence action at a local level. How we’ll involve others in our conversations and policymaking. And how we’ll ensure our influence is far-reaching – locally, nationally and globally.
Our action will:
- ensure zero carbon is a key factor in our decision making
- ensure the wider benefits of climate action are key factors in our decision making
- help Manchester Climate Ready to promote citywide climate action
- influence key stakeholders in the city to prioritise climate action
- ask Government to aid local delivery of national net zero goals
