People and communities Newly arrived migrant communities

Hong Kong BN (O)

Manchester City Council is working with the UK Government to support the Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) Welcome Programme. Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) (BN(O)) status holders can apply for a new immigration route, enabling them and their dependents to come to the UK to live, work and study, on a pathway to citizenship.

The Council is working with:

  • Local partners
  • Community groups
  • Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations

These groups have lots of experience helping new arrivals settle into life in Manchester.

We want everyone arriving on the BN(O) route to feel welcome and to get the support they need to live, work, and thrive in their new community.
